Photoprints, postcards, photograph albums, and negatives, mostly concerning the village of Hempstead, but including scenes from other towns and villages in Nassau County and Long Island. Subjects include street scenes, buildings, churches, homes, firehouses and firemen, hotels and taverns, parades, railroads (including a train wreck in Woodfield, 1875, and one on Main Street, Hempstead, 1912), the New York and Long Island Traction Company (trolley line), sailing ships, people and occupations, schools and schoolchildren, Camp Mills, Camp Black, parks, fairs, fox hunters, polo at the Meadow Brook Club, the blizzard of 1888, and a few aerial views.
